Google’s Android One Arrives in the Philippines

Android One is an initiative by Google which aims to give the public high-quality smartphones that are packed with Android features but at a lower price.  It is also free from modifications from smartphone manufacturers, thus lesser bloatware.

Luckily, last February 17, Google launched two Android One devices in the Philippines.  They collaborated with Cherry Mobile (Cherry One) and MyPhone (MyPhone Uno) to give us an Android One device which has a retail price of under P5,000.  We are  the sixth country to receive Andorid One devices after Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Indonesia.

These devices will be on sale in the coming weeks with the latest version of Android (Lollipop).  Expect great hardware specs from these devices which include cameras (front and rear), dual SIM slots, and MicroSD card slot for extra storage.
